  • Leia Becktell

    Owner/Instructor

    She/her

Leia started her pole journey in 2015 and fell in love with it instantly! She enjoys the challenge of pole and the thrill of getting that new move or combo.

Along with hitting the big moves, she enjoys creating pole choreography and dancing like everyone is watching!! Pole offers a rare mixture of power, flexibility, beauty, and sensuality. It's a whole vibe!

Leia began teaching pole and dance movement two years ago. She is so happy to be able to share her love for pole and her knowledge to the new pole babes! :)

Leia took the stage for her first big crowd recently in Cincinnati, Ohio. She eats up the crowd during a show and likes to show them what pole is all about! Leia has also completed her Xpole beginner/intermediate pole instructor certification course! She loves continuing her education and gaining new pole knowledge and experiences. She is well equipped with what she brings to our Summit City Pole Family!

“I am excited to continue and expand in my pole journey with SCP. Let's grow together.”

  • Sahara

    Instructor

    She/her

Sahara began pole in January 2018, following an invitation by a friend.  Boasting no prior dance experience, she started classes as a way to diversify her workouts, and immediately fell in love with pole for the endless opportunities in creativity and challenge; a-choose-your-own-adventure in both fitness and art. While still a trick junkie at heart , she quickly found a real passion in teaching others and learning alongside a community of dancers. After varied levels of performing over 5 years, Sahara recently placed 2nd at her first pole competition through Pole Sport Organization in May 2023. Her current focus is progressive strength conditioning and training intermediate and advanced tricks in a sustainable way, to be able to safely fly through the air for many years to come!

  • Julia Martinez

    Julia

    She/her

Julia's journey started back in 2015; simply looking for a fun workout, she quickly fell in love with pole. Pole tricks, floorwork, heels, she was all in. Pole gave her the courage and comfort in her body to audition and become a member of the Fort Wayne burlesque troupe, Fort Wayne Bombshells, with whom she continues to perform with to this day.

Julia recently took a big step in her floorwork journey and earned her Liquid Motion Certification to help with her personal movement growth and is sharing that knowledge with our students.

She is happy and grateful to be able to practice, learn, and instruct in such a welcoming, diverse, and safe environment with our students and instructors.
